Welcome to the Ardleigh Sailing Club website!
We’re a very friendly club near Colchester in Essex and have the use of a pretty reservoir. We sail and race throughout the year, generally on Sunday mornings, plus Wednesday evenings in the summer. Check the club calendar for all the details.
We are a members club but also have Kayak/Windsurf/SUP membership to allow kayakers, windsurfers and paddle-boarders to access the water by joining our club. Please see our membership page for full details of membership.
We are currently able to welcome ‘able sailors’ but unfortunately are not in a position in 2025 to provide any training courses for new sailors. We have club dinghies members can hire from just a few pounds, changing rooms, life jackets and a large club room. Drop us an email to find out more or to arrange a visit on a Sunday morning to take a look around and have a chat in person.Our current race series - Early Spring Series

2026 Fox's Frostbite Race Series final results have been posted on the race results page. Thankyou to Fox's Chandlery for generously donated prizes, and to all our visitors who have made it some fantastic racing despite some light winds at times.

From May through September we run Wednesday evening pursuit races, start at 6pm, 45 minute race.

Fancy a hot snack or drinks whilst at the club? The galley will be open every Sunday - so get in early for your breakfast rolls.
